Pentagon Debates Development of Offensive Cyberspace Capabilities

September 9, 2008

Washington – Igniting a provocative new debate, senior military officials are pushing the Pentagon to go on the offensive in cyberspace by developing the ability to attack other nations’ computer systems, rather than concentrating on defending America’s electronic security. >>>>>

COMMENTARY: Israel of the Caucasus?

September 4, 2008

Israel began selling arms to Georgia seven years ago. U.S. grants facilitated these purchases. From Israel came former minister and former mayor of Tel Aviv Roni Milo, representing Elbit Systems, and his brother Shlomo, former director-general of Military Industries. Israeli UAV spy drones, made by Elbit Maarahot Systems, conducted recon flights over southern Russia, as well as into nearby Iran.

In a secret agreement between Israel and Georgia, two military airfields in southern Georgia had been earmarked for the use of Israeli fighter bombers in the event of preemptive attacks against Iranian nuclear installations. This would sharply reduce the distance Israeli fighter bombers would have to fly to hit targets in Iran. And to reach Georgian airstrips, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) would fly over Turkey. >>>>>

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Unhurt After Shooting

September 3, 2008

Ms. Rehman said it was too early to identify the attackers or the motive. “It would be irresponsible to speculate without details,” she said.

However, immediate suspicion fell on the Taliban. The Pakistani military has carried out a major air operation against Taliban forces in the Bajaur area of the tribal region in the country’s north along the Afghanistan border in the last three weeks, and the Taliban vowed to seek revenge. After a series of devastating attacks in various parts of the country, a cease-fire was put in place by the government last weekend. >>>>>

She mentions how irresponsible it would be to speculate; but the media has to get in their digs.  They’ve got to keep the sheeps’ minds fed.

Israeli PR fails the “decent, honest and truthful” test

August 30, 2008

It’s a mistake to think you can turn around a poor brand by throwing more PR at it. You have to improve the product. In Israel’s case they’ll have to cut out the crime and racism, hand back what they have stolen, scrupulously observe international law and UN Charter obligations, and show contrition for past sins. Only then will it be possible to begin turning Israel into an acceptable and marketable entity with a fine reputation for justice and good neighbourliness, which surely is what most people wish to see. >>>>>

Attack isn’t the answer

August 24, 2008

As Israel contemplates military action to halt Iran’s nuclear ambitions, it is essential to take a closer look at Iran’s most powerful man – Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei – and his views toward the Jewish state. A clearer understanding of the precise challenge Iran poses should disabuse Israeli leaders of the idea that force is the best way to neutralize it.  >>>>>

Thanks for clearing that up.  Although Israel has gotten the message, the more aggressive message sounds better when marketing a push to attack Iran.

Intel: Attack by al-Qaida westerners possible

July 26, 2008

Information recently obtained by the Mossad and Military Intelligence indicates that global jihad elements working to recruit European and American nationals who have been indoctrinated with radical Islamic ideology to carry out attacks inside Israel, The Jerusalem Post has learned…

…There are a number of cases of American and European nationals who have undergone radical Islamic indoctrination and tried to perpetrate attacks. One example is Adam Yehiye Gadahn, an American of Jewish descent who recently appeared in an al-Qaida videotape… >>>>>

According to Wikipedia, Gadahn’s Jewish paternalgrandfather, Carl Pearlman, was a prominent surgeon and on the Board of Directors of the Anti-Defamation League; his paternal grandmother, Agnes Branch, was an editor for The Chronicle Christian Newspaper.  Should we focus on his background and connection to his other religious roots in determining whether he is even a plant posing as an al-Qaeda operative?

This is just another seed of doubt placed into the minds of non-Muslims to look the other way, as the real pillagers of the world do their job.
