Four US soldiers charged with conspiracy to murder Iraqis

July 24, 2008

WASHINGTON (AFP) – Four US soldiers have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the deaths of several detainees in Iraq in early 2007, the US Army said Wednesday. …..

Unfortunately, this will get a lot of play to show how just we are as a nation.  But expect not much to happen in the long run.  It’s a shame that the Muslim detainees at Gitmo, who haven’t done anything wrong are incarcerated for years without representation; yet the soldiers in this article will get an eventual heroes’ welcome.  Even if they are detained; they will know exactly what they did wrong and will be incarcerated in a place that is considered a 5-star hotel compared to the human zoo that exists in Gitmo.
