Sami al-Arian is awaiting trial on charges of refusing to testify before a grand jury about a cluster of Muslim organizations in Northern Virginia. A federal judge on several occasions has expressed skepticism about the government’s contempt charges, and last week she ordered immigration authorities to explain by yesterday afternoon why they were continuing to hold Arian. >>>>>
Muslim charities in the U.S., hit by a drop in donations since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, are turning to the Better Business Bureau in an effort to give donors the confidence to open their wallets again. >>>>>
This sounds like legalized extortion to me. Muslims are continuously back on their heels and have to grovel at the chance of doing business. There is still no guarantee that they are free from being closed down or having assets frozen. This also allows greater opportunity to commit white-collar crimes to disrupt the flow of Islamic charities, shakedown contributors, and potentially steal other business/intellectual property – no different than what bankers did by denying select loans, but hanging onto the business plans and offering it to other associates in other cities around the nation or the stealing of ideas during the patenting process. Real perpetrators of real crimes committed under the guise of religion or nationality, such as those committed by AIPAC or even those associated with the any neo-conservative group, or lobbyists like Jack Abramoff; are free to continue doing business with impunity – and we don’t see a problem with this?

Such will be their degradation in the world, and in the Hereafter theirs will be an awful doom;” Al-Qur’an (5:33)

Funny thing, just today, I received a comment from someone wondering why I wanted to come (immigrate) and evangelize in his country (U.S.). Why is it okay for evangelicals to go to other countries and do what they don’t want done here?
If this pastor were a Muslim, the church (mosque) would have been shut down, the mansion, plane and website would have been invaded and seized, as well as all other assets; and he would be accused of spreading terrorism through his writings.

Had he been a Muslim, his religious identity would have been in all the headlines, and it would have been a pep rally against Islam. I tip my kufi to the Democrats, who worked for him, in doing the right thing.
