Muslim scholars appeal for respect of human rights

The Muslim religious teachers and leaders said they were appealing to the warring camps to “protect and uphold human rights, the rights to life and property of the people.”

The declaration was issued on the first day of Ramadan, which corresponds to Sept. 1, and was signed by Mohammad Shuaib Yacob and Sheikh Zainodin Bato, the group’s secretary general and president, respectively.  >>>>>
