As he tried to escape the scene, the terrorist stopped long enough to plunge his knife into the chest of an elderly pedestrian. Emergency resuscitation efforts by ambulance crews failed.
Despite his own wounds, the police officer managed to shoot the attacker several times. Another passerby then overpowered the injured terrorist. >>>>>
While there is no doubt that stabbing a man in the chest is an act of terror; this short article uses the word terror/terrorist four times to identify a criminal act. The problem is that the word ‘terror’ or ‘terrorist’ is not typically used by any newspaper around the world for individual crimes against another. The same newspaper does not report Israeli-on-Arab or Jew-on-Muslim attacks as acts of terror. This kind of bias only helps to create a further divide of the people and is a dangerous precedent in reporting.
Without realizing it, it has become common place to label anything an Arab or Muslim does, alleged or actual, as an act of terror. This type of journalism allows for even non-Muslims who are against the Israeli apartheid and global agenda to continue to hold disdain for those Israel considers its ardent enemies – Arabs and Muslims. Tsk, tsk.

What about other groups? If the idea of a Latino or a Muslim in the White House is beyond belief, what does that say of American society? Either the White House is strictly reserved for those who profess to be orthodox Christians (that excludes Mormons like Mitt Romney) and the whole notion of plurality is a lie, or something has gone wrong.
If the US is the most progressive nation in these matters, what are the implications for western democracies? Is the idea of people being judged on merit, by the content of their character rather than on characteristics like race and religion just an illusion? >>>>>

Muslim-Americans are twice as likely as most Americans to be independents according to several polls. Most will vote for Barack Obama, but even supporters of the Democratic candidate express frustration at the rampant Islamophobia popping up throughout all sides of the presidential election. >>>>>

“I’m also troubled by, not what Senator McCain says, but what members of the party say, and it is permitted to be said. Such things as ‘Well you know that Mr. Obama is a Muslim.’ Well the correct answer is ‘He is not a Muslim, he’s a Christian, he’s always been a Christian.’ But the really right answer is ‘What if he is? Is there something wrong with being a Muslim in this country?’ The answer is ‘No. That’s not America.’ Is there something wrong with some 7-year old Muslim-American kid believing that he or she can be president? Yet I have heard senior members of my own party drop the suggestion he’s a Muslim and he might be associated with terrorists. This is not the way we should be doing it in America. >>>>>

Islamophobia not only stands in front of the Muslims, but the whole humanity, Ihsanoglu said.
“Stability, peace and security in the world are inseparable from each other. In the long run, Islamophobia will continue in the world. Muslims are psychologically, economically and socially affected by Islamophobia. Such a dramatic situation should be described as a segregation based on race and religion,” Ihsanoglu said. >>>>>

In a “don’t worry, be happy” tone, I breezily noted that although the stoking of racial fear and xenophobia was a cherished tradition of American politics, I really didn’t think that this time around the candidates would permit the wholesale slander of Islam or Muslims.
Apparently, I was wrong. The undertones have become screaming overtones. And it is past time to object. >>>>>
This is by design, in order to help keep the excuse(s) to continue the war on terror alive. It helps that even the opposing party’s candidate also reject any future potential of exonerating Muslims in the public eye while at the same time, forcing the hand of democrats to continue to maintain their position on the Islamophobic bandwagon.

For Selma Furst, voting for an African-American for president seemed unthinkable. “I grew up with Jewish people and Italian people, but I never lived in a neighborhood that was black,” she said. “Somebody said to me, ‘What do you object to about him?’ I said, well, truthfully, our colors are different.”
Overcoming the prejudices of his grandparents’ generation would be difficult, Bender realized. But he was not going to be alone. Ari Wallach, co-executive director of Jews Vote, a Jewish advocacy group, also said he saw reluctance among some older, traditionally Democratic Jews to support Obama. >>>>>
This has not been what has been portrayed in the media for the past decades. The Jewish culture, of the same generation discussed in the linked article, regularly purported that blacks and Jews had the same struggle(s), shared the same things, and believed in similar values (Judeo-Christian, of course). But when push comes to shove, I guess that those who were cynical, and consequentially labeled anti-Semitic, may have had a point in their angst about the others’ true colors.
It also goes to show that hatred and bigotry can lead to breaking loyalty to the leftist values of the Democratic Party and jump toward the far right of the Republican Party — the part of the party that has no problem praising Hitler, being anti-Semitic, burning crosses, killing abortionists, starting global war, and is the closest thing to fascism that we know. In other words, “for the sake of not voting for the black (or whichever expletive used in association of this word) guy, I’d rather vote for someone hell-bent on killing me if he could get away with it.”
The point is, both parties are so opposite each other, and in so many ways, that it is inconceivable for a person of sound mind to abandon the principles of morality, justice and policy for which it stands, for the sake of not supporting a party representative, albeit a potential president, merely because of the color of his skin–which should not have any form of measurement in his evaluation in the first place.
This actually falls in line with the phony reasons for allowing Ethiopians to immigrate into Israel, only to later be treated as second-class citizens; because while they were Jewish, they were also African, and of course, black. This article begs for a re-evaluation of how the media played out the riots related to Watts, CA; Liberty City, FL; Rodney King riots; OJ Simpson trial and Crown Heights, NY.
This article alone should raise many questions regarding what is truly Judeo-Christian, and what is black and white. In Islam, discriminating against someone on the basis of race is clearly forbidden.

Smearcasting documents the public writings and appearances of Islamophobic activists and pundits who intentionally and regularly spread fear, bigotry and misinformation in the media. Offering a fresh look at Islamophobia and its perpetrators in today’s media, it also provides four snapshots, or case studies, describing how Islamophobes manipulate media in order to paint Muslims with a broad, hateful brush. >>>>>

Christine Blower, acting general secretary of the National Union of Teachers (NUT), said that for the objectives of the guidance to be achieved, trust had to be maintained in schools.
She said: “No teacher will ignore obvious information about a specific, real threat, but it is vital that teachers are able to discuss with and listen to pupils, without feeling that they have to report every word.” >>>>>

Thanks to investigative reporting of Will Evans and reader Robin McLaren, we’ve uncovered the identity of one of the formerly secret producers of Obsession (you’ll recall that the Clarion Fund listed two producers’ names for the film and both were fake). His name is Erik Werth, and he’s a former Clinton Administration advisor for “homeland security issues” (though there was no such concept in the Clinton Administration) and news producer for NBC’s Dateline. >>>>>
So, do the people who complain about the disproportionate power within the mainstream media at least get an “I told you so?”
“By the way, if Clarion and all these other alleged 501c3 Jewish groups are NOT supporting or opposing political candidates (remember that IRS exemption application question), then what are they doing at the RJC dinner? In particular, why is the producer of the film at a Republican-affiliated dinner and being identified with the film in this blog? Shouldn’t that make an IRS official begin to wonder whether this group is really non-partisan? And I wonder whether Clarion paid for their tickets? Wouldn’t that constitute yet another partisan activity?
And the next time you read any of these groups like Clarion, Stand With Us, JINSA or the Shalem Center claim that they are non-partisan, remind them of this passage and then laugh at the joke.” (Ending of linked article).

The logic of most Western countries runs thus: all Muslims are not terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslims. The first part of the statement is nothing but a craven concession to realpolitik, in that the West needs to keep Muslim countries round the world in good humour; the second part betrays profound ignorance of the history of terrorism. >>>>>

Why is it that Islamophobes continue to come up with “tests” that American Muslims must pass in order to be considered moderate, or for that matter to be considered real Americans. Daniel Pipes has a test and I’m proud to say, that I like Hamza Yusuf would fail. David Horowitz has a petition for Muslim students to sign to prove their “moderation” as part of his recent “Islamo Fascism Awareness Week” whose four key principals any Muslim could agree with, but which would require any Muslim signing the petition to agree with the mischaracterization of terrorists and extremists as “Islamo Fascists” thus blaming the religion of Islam for their criminal acts.

Islamophobia and Sikhophobia are creations of state agencies unable to build a response to the fight for rights and fundamental freedoms and Christophobia has been started by fascist forces unable to tolerate equality and reduction in their ranks and is abetted by the state through silence and complicity. >>>>>
And this is the country that Israel is conspiring with to promote their nationalist theocracies? And if this is the case, why would Christians help either Israel or India? Why do refer to both of them as democracies? Why do Christians from other parts of the world not recognize that both Israel and India officially and theocratically reject the notion of Jesus–whereas ironically so, Muslims revere him and his mother, the Virgin Mary?

Stressing that European civilization was built with many contributions from Muslim culture in terms of science, philosophy and humanistic values, İhasanoğlu said, “If we can share the idea that Islam is an essential element of Europe, Europe’s perception of Turkey’s EU membership would change.” İhsanoğlu said there is confusion about the place of Islam in Europe. “Islam has been in Europe for 14 centuries; it is not a foreigner in Europe,” he added. >>>>>

Another “Obsession” interviewee, Brigitte Gabriel, told the Australian Jewish News: “Every practising Muslim is a radical Muslim.” She also claimed that “Islamo-fascism is a politically-correct word…it’s the vehicle for Islam…Islam is the problem.” When asked whether Americans should “resist Muslims who want to seek political office in this nation,” Gabriel said:
“Absolutely. If a Muslim who has — who is — a practicing Muslim who believes the word of the Koran to be the word of Allah, who abides by Islam, who goes to mosque and prays every Friday, who prays five times a day — this practicing Muslim, who believes in the teachings of the Koran, cannot be a loyal citizen to the United States of America.”
