U.S. leftists confirm plans to sail to Gaza to break siege

A group of U.S.-based activists confirmed Tuesday it would challenge Israel’s blockade of the Palestinian territory by sailing boats from Cyprus to Gaza next week.  The Free Gaza group said it would make the trip in two Greek-flagged boats, after raising most of the $300,000 needed for the voyage from private donations. >>>>>

    Why are they leftists?

Jeff Halper from the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD) is on board as well. From California arrives, among others, 74-year-old grandmother Mary Hughes-Thompson whose seventh trip to Palestine this will be since 2002. Ken O’Keefe, a former Marine and veteran of the first Gulf War will be there

    Are these people leftists?

Honestly don’t know. I think the term leftists takes away from the point of the story; but I didn’t want to change the title. Good point. I think if the story left out ‘leftists’, then it would have served a greater purpose. Thanks for the point.
